Dear Ms. Winston:
The purpose of this letter is to convey to you my sincere apologies for the
inconvenience you may have experienced last month with respect to your case being
handled by my firm.
I just returned from an arbitration in London this week and found your complaint
letter in my in-basket. As soon as I reviewed your complaint it was clear that your
May 20th request for a change in service had somehow slipped through the cracks.
The only possible explanation I can give is that we have recently had a number of key
staff changes that might have resulted in your request being overlooked.
Given same, I have directed my staff team to go over your case again and present to
me correction measures within the next few days. You will soon hear from me again
once we have finished this process.
To remedy our omission, and as a testament to our appreciation of your business, we
are going to mark your first three months of legal services free of charge. Therefore,
your retainer account will be credited accordingly.
Ms. Winston, let me assure you that what happened in your case is not typical of
Zhang, Wang & Lee's level of client service. We are firmly committed to providing
